Fly Fishing Arkansas River - Buena Vista

The Buena Vista section of the Arkansas River runs from Granite downstream through Brown’s Canyon National Monument to Hecla Junction, carving a rugged granite gorge through the heart of Chaffee County. Wade anglers can access upper reaches near Granite along CR 371, target riffles at Railroad Bridge, and fish pocket water at Ruby Mountain. Below the canyon, the river opens into broader riffles and runs approaching Hecla.
